Stat Crux Report has launched reader comments on its story pages. Each article now includes a “Reader discussion” section where visitors can load existing comments or submit a display name and comment.

The published discussion rules ask readers to stay on topic, address the argument and avoid threats, harassment, spam or personal information. The site says comments appear immediately and may be removed when they break those rules.

Display names are supplied by readers and are not verified. Before submitting, a reader must acknowledge that the chosen display name and comment will be public; the section also links to comment privacy information and a route for reporting a problem or requesting removal.

The feature adds a public discussion layer to Stat Crux articles. It does not change the publication’s sourcing, corrections process or organizational byline.
