STAT CRUX REPORT

Editorial standards

The sourcing, independence, labeling, and corrections standards behind Stat Crux Report.

Facts before narrative.

Ground factual claims in verifiable information. Link to primary sources and attribute the work of others. A public statement establishes what someone said; it does not by itself establish that the claim is true.

A clear point of view.

An America First perspective, with a clear distinction between reporting, analysis, and opinion. News articles describe what is established and what remains uncertain. Analysis explains evidence and inference. Opinion states an argument while keeping factual premises accountable.

Accountability matters.

Apply scrutiny regardless of party. A political perspective is not a pass for those who share it. Business conversations are separate from editorial decisions; proposals do not guarantee coverage, endorsement, or a partnership. Sponsored content and material commercial relationships must be disclosed clearly.

Keep the record straight.

Acknowledge uncertainty, correct errors, and make meaningful updates clear. Published stories show their original publication date. Material changes receive an updated date and an explanatory note.

Images and review

Use real, rights-cleared photographs and footage. Identify archival or illustrative material when its timing or context could be misunderstood. Credit sources and preserve the meaning of quotations and clips. A human reviews the final text and media before publication.
